ABOUT
My name is Lucas Arab, and I am scenic designer. I consider myself to be a "professional make-believer" with the goal of creating immersive and visually intriguing storytelling spaces for all. My work is focused in collaboration and imagination, and I believe that strong design has the ability to change the world. I hold a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Stage Design and Technical Theatre. I am a Canadian designer based in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
When I am not designing for the stage, I am the Education Content Creator at Neptune Theatre School, creating and overseeing programs that directly engage youth in theatre. I am also the Regional Producer of the Canadian Improv Games in Nova Scotia.

INITIATING EDUCATION
'YPCrew' has been a long-term initiative that I recently brought to life at Neptune Theatre. Branching off of YPCo (Neptune's Youth Performance Company), YPCrew is the first ever theatre design and behind-the-scenes themed program of its kind in Nova Scotia.
I am actively working with the Neptune Theatre School to grow the program into our professionally staged YPCo productions.
In addition to my work at Neptune, I host hands-on workshops with high school students and teachers in behind-the-scenes education for school musicals, plays, and live events.
